Senior Search Engineer to join our ambitious team, advancing innovative search technologies that support intelligent and scalable information retrieval systems. Your contributions will play a critical role in developing and refining components across our search stack, such as query translation, search result ranking, and pattern matching APIs.

Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain scalable search components using Scala 2 and the Play Framework
- Enhance and manage Pattern Matching APIs using Python
- Optimize query translation modules (Query Cooker) with Java
- Extend and improve Elasticsearch plugins for reliability and performance
- Collaborate with DevOps teams to manage and enhance infrastructure on AWS (including EC2) to ensure scalable and highly available search services
- Troubleshoot and refine search performance across distributed systems
Requirements
- Programming experience with Scala 2, Java, and Python for 3+ years
- Knowledge of the Play Framework
- Proficiency in ElasticSearch plugin development and maintenance
- Background in search-related algorithms, indexing, and query processing
- Competency in DevOps practices and working with AWS services like EC2
- Flexibility to collaborate efficiently within a fast-paced, agile environment
- English language proficiency at an Upper-Intermediate level (B2) or higher
Nice to have
- Familiarity with natural language processing (NLP) or semantic search
- Showcase of information retrieval or search relevance tuning expertise
- Capability to work with containerization tools such as Docker or Kubernetes
