Role: Application Developer (Mainframe & .NET)
Location: Remote (PST)
Duration: 6+ months
Overview: We are seeking a Mid to Senior level Software Developer with 7 10 years of experience to support and enhance enterprise applications across both IBM Mainframe and distributed (.NET) environments. This role requires strong technical depth, the ability to work across legacy and modern platforms, and effective collaboration with teams operating across U.S. time zones.
The position is U.S.-based, does not require onsite work, and requires significant overlap with U.S. business hours.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, enhance, and maintain applications across IBM Mainframe and .NET platforms
Support and modernize integration between mainframe systems and distributed applications
Develop and maintain database logic using DB2
Write and maintain automation scripts using PowerShell
Support and maintain applications running on z/OS
Analyze existing systems and implement enhancements to improve performance, reliability, and maintainability
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot issues and deliver solutions
Participate in code reviews, testing, and production support activities
Ensure adherence to coding standards, security practices, and operational requirements
Required Skills & Experience:
7 10 years of professional software development experience
Strong experience with IBM Mainframe environments
Proficiency in .NET development
Hands-on experience with DB2
Experience scripting and automating tasks using PowerShell
Working knowledge of z/OS
Ability to work independently and manage deliverables in a remote environment
Strong problem-solving and communication skills
