Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and meticulous Alteryx Developer to join our data engineering team. This role will be critical in a company-wide initiative to migrate all data processing and ETL workflows from our legacy DataFlux environment to the Alteryx platform. The ideal candidate has a deep understanding of both DataFlux and Alteryx, with a proven track record of successfully migrating complex data management processes between platforms. You will analyze existing DataFlux jobs, translate the business logic, and build, test, and deploy robust, high-performance workflows in Alteryx.

Responsibilities
  • Serve as the subject matter expert for the DataFlux-to-Alteryx migration project.
  • Analyze and document the business logic, data transformations, and rules within existing DataFlux jobs and processes.
  • Design, develop, test, and deploy Alteryx workflows and macros to replicate and enhance the functionality of legacy DataFlux code.
  • Work with stakeholders to gather requirements and validate the accuracy and functionality of the new Alteryx workflows against the legacy DataFlux outputs.
  • Perform data cleansing, data blending, data validation, and data transformation using Alteryx Designer.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, including technical specifications, implementation guides, and best practices for the migrated Alteryx workflows.
  • Participate in testing activities, including unit, integration, and user acceptance testing, to ensure data integrity and process accuracy.
  • Automate workflow execution and manage schedules on Alteryx Server, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues and discrepancies during and after the migration.
  • Collaborate with data analysts, business users, and other IT teams to support and improve data-driven decision-making.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field.
  • 3+ years of experience as a Data Analyst, ETL Developer, or Data Engineer.
  • Demonstrable, hands-on experience with both DataFlux/SAS Data Management and Alteryx Designer.
  • Proven experience in migrating data processes and logic between different platforms.
  • Advanced proficiency in developing workflows using Alteryx Designer and hands-on experience with Alteryx Server.
  • Strong SQL skills for data extraction, manipulation, and validation.
  • Experience with various data sources, including databases, flat files, APIs, and cloud-based data stores.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical-thinking skills.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Alteryx certifications (e.g., Alteryx Designer Core, Advanced) are a significant plus.

Preferred Skills
  • Experience with Mortgage Servicing
  • Experience with other ETL tools or data management platforms.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and working in a Scrum team.
  • Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and best practices.
  • Experience with data visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI
