Overview

The Business Analyst will support the Child Support Services Applications Team and will be responsible for enhancing and maintaining applications that support Child Support Services operations, including PACSS, SDNH, and the Client Portal application. The resource will report to the Functional Manager, provide status updates on assigned tasks, and work independently with minimal guidance to improve financial application user experience and functionality.

Primary Responsibilities

• Work with the Functional Manager and Business Analysts to identify improvement areas and provide actionable recommendations.
• Analyze existing workflows to identify inefficiencies and process gaps.
• Design optimized workflows aligned with business requirements.
• Propose enhanced functionality for complex financial processes.
• Design self-guided workflows including guided navigation, tooltips, and contextual assistance.
• Create step-by-step wizards, contextual help, and automated guidance to improve system usability and reduce training needs.
• Conduct stakeholder interviews to understand business processes.
• Collaborate with Business Analysts to develop test scenarios and test cases and provide support during testing activities.
• Participate in functional meetings related to user issues, enhancements, and defect triage.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience working as a Business Analyst
• 5+ years of experience working with Child Support systems
• 5+ years of experience with financial operations including receipts, distribution, disbursements, recoupment, and reconciliation
• 5+ years of experience with workflow design and system enhancement
• 5+ years of experience conducting stakeholder interviews
• 5+ years of experience with SQL querying
• Bachelor's degree

Preferred Skills (Not Mandatory)

• Experience with Microsoft Team Foundation Server (TFS) and Microsoft Test Manager
• Experience with Agile or Waterfall methodology
• Preference for a Finance or IT degree

Education Requirement

• Bachelor's Degree (Preference given to Finance or IT degree)
