Schedule: Onsite, Monday-Friday (Normal Business Hours)
About the Role We are seeking a highly motivated
Quality Engineer to join our field operations team. This role focuses on executing Company's internal field test plans, analyzing KPIs, performing log analysis, identifying issues, and collaborating with R&D to drive resolutions. The ideal candidate is hands-on, detail-oriented, and comfortable spending most of the week in the field conducting live network and device testing.
Key Responsibilities Field Testing & Execution - Execute Company's Internal Field Test Plan, including:
- Data mobility
- Call processing
- Data throughput validation
- Perform tests using Qualcomm toolsets such as QXDM, QPST, XCAL, and others.
- Conduct primary log analysis for upper-layer procedures including:
- Registration sequences
- RLF KPI analysis
- Data throughput KPI analysis
- Drive in-field testing for 4-5 days per week, including drive-testing conditions as needed.
Issue Identification & Reporting - Document and report issues via Company's internal QC system.
- Collaborate directly with R&D teams to support troubleshooting, reproduce issues, and verify fixes.
- Perform KPI analysis using tools such as XCAP and QCAT.
Quality Engineering Functions - Develop sampling procedures and documentation for recording, evaluating, and reporting quality and reliability data.
- Support evaluation of precision and accuracy for production, test equipment, and analytical tools.
- Assist in creating training material and leading training sessions related to quality control.
- May specialize in areas such as product evaluation, process control, reliability, metrology, automated testing, or R&D support.
Required Skills & Experience Hard Skills - Hands-on experience with Qualcomm tools: QXDM, QPST, XCAL.
- Proficiency in KPI analysis using XCAP and QCAT.
- Basic understanding of SIP call flows and Wireshark packet analysis.
- Ability to operate in drive-testing environments and travel as needed.
- Bonus: Knowledge in scripting languages such as Python or Perl.
- Ability to interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documents.
Soft Skills - Strong verbal and written communication-comfortable interacting with cross-functional teams and carrier partners.
- Collaborative team player with a high level of accountability.
- Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving ability, and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently in field environments for the majority of the week.
Education & Experience - Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical field.
- 1-2 years of relevant experience in quality engineering, field testing, or wireless communications.
