Position Title: Azure Data Warehouse Developer
Employment Type: Contract - W2, No C2C or third party vendors at this time
Location: Remote
Hourly Range: $60/hr - $70/hr
JOB SUMMARY:
The HCM Azure Data Warehouse Developer will leverage Delta Lake/OneLake and Medallion Architecture (Bronze-Silver-Gold) to manage and transform data efficiently. Your background in end-to-end SDLC, alongside your expertise in performance tuning and governance, will drive impactful data solutions for our organization and setting the foundation for future AI-driven insights.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:
- Data Warehouse Development: Help design, development, and implementation of a scalable and efficient data warehouse using Azure Fabric using the Medallion Architecture.
- Design & Development: Implement and maintain robust data pipelines on Azure (Data Factory, Synapse), handling structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data. Data Modeling: Develop and implement complex data models that support data analytics, reporting, and future AI initiatives.
- Collaboration: Work closely with reporting, data analysts, and business stakeholders to understand data needs and translate them into technical requirements.
- AI Readiness: Prepare the data warehouse infrastructure to support future artificial intelligence and machine learning projects, ensuring data is structured and accessible for advanced analytics.

Education, Training, Certifications:
Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Cloud certifications in a specialized area.
Experience, Knowledge, Skills:
5+ years of experience in SQL development and data warehousing, with a track record of designing and delivering production-grade data pipelines in a cloud environment.
3+ years of experience in architecting, designing, developing, and implementing cloud solutions using Azure data services (Data Lake Storage, Data Factory, Synapse, etc.).
Experience with transactionally consistent data lake solutions, ACID compliance, and time-travel features.
Proficiency in data integration and ETL tools, preferably within an Azure environment.
Strong knowledge of data modeling techniques, including star and snowflake schemas.
Experience with AI and machine learning technologies is a plus.
Expertise in database architecture, ETL, business intelligence, and advanced analytics.
Proven ability to collaborate with business analysts, developers, and SMEs.
Strong project management skills and the ability to prioritize effectively.
