RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Senior Full-Stack Engineer - eCommerce in Fort Lauderdale, FL.
Responsibilities:
Technical Leadership:
* Build and maintain high-performance eCommerce applications using modern frameworks (React, Node.js, Next.js)
* Integrate APIs, payment gateways, and third-party services to expand platform capabilities
* Lead design and development efforts for scalable applications and services
* Advocate for and implement modern approaches including microservices, serverless, headless commerce, and CI/CD
eCommerce Platform Development:
* Translate business requirements into technical solutions by collaborating closely with Product and UX/UI teams
* Develop and optimize features such as product catalogs, search, carts, checkout flows, and payment integrations
* Integrate with backend systems including CRM, inventory, and order management tools
* Ensure web performance, SEO, and accessibility standards (WCAG) are met across all devices
Collaboration & Mentorship:
* Work closely with Product Managers, UX Designers, QA teams, and engineering peers
* Mentor junior developers through code reviews, pairing, and career guidance
* Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to sprint planning and backlog refinement
Continuous Improvement:
* Apply best practices in coding, testing, automation, and deployment using modern CI/CD pipelines
* Monitor performance, reliability, and scalability; implement proactive improvements
* Introduce automation for testing, deployment, and monitoring
* Stay current with emerging web and eCommerce technologies and make recommendations that improve the user journey
Security & Compliance:
* Diagnose and resolve complex production issues
* Participate in architectural discussions and contribute to long-term technical strategy
* Ensure compliance with PCI DSS, GDPR, and other data privacy standards
* Implement secure coding practices and support regular vulnerability assessments
REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
* 5+ years of full-stack web development experience, ideally within eCommerce
* 2+ years of experience with React, API gateways, and/or components of web systems architecture (CDN/Akamai, DNS, SSL)
* 2+ years of experience with AEM (preferred but not required)
* Experience with MarTech tools such as Adobe Target, Analytics, session recording, or personalization platforms
* Experience analyzing and designing software architectures in complex environments
* Experience with product testing and iterative, data-driven experimentation
* Experience with serverless architectures (e.g., AWS Lambda)
* Deep understanding of the SDLC, engineering methodologies, and application patterns
* Strong knowledge of WCAG accessibility guidelines, PCI, PII, and encryption standards
* Strong understanding of UI frameworks (React, Angular, etc.)
* Strong collaboration, interpersonal, and communication skills
* Microservices and SPA experience strongly preferred
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
