Position Overview

The Quality Engineer will support quality initiatives on the shop floor within Tractor Operations at Waterloo Works. This is a fully onsite role requiring strong communication, problem-solving skills, and comfort working in a manufacturing environment.

Work Details

• Fully onsite position (no remote work)
• Business casual dress code
• Interview: Microsoft Teams preferred
• Safety Requirement: Metatarsal safety boots required on first day
• Shop floor role candidate must be comfortable in a factory environment
• Approximately 80% of time spent standing or walking within the facility

Driving & Mobility Requirements

• May drive a John Deere-owned Gator inside the factory to move between connected indoor areas
• Use is limited to transporting:
  • Laptop/computer
  • Tools or parts
  • Other workers traveling to the same location (due to limited Gators)
• Must complete John Deere safety training before driving
• May drive a personal vehicle to other John Deere facilities within a 20-mile radius
• Rental vehicles are not used
• Optional opportunity to drive a tractor inside the factory after completing safety training
  • If driving cannot be supported, staffing firms may notify workers after offer acceptance
