Job Details
About the Role:
o Our client is seeking an experienced Project Manager with strong utilities and customer-facing experience.
o You will manage a high-volume portfolios, overseeing the full project lifecycle from initiation through closure.
Client Notes:
o Utilities experience is required.
o Must be customer-facing and comfortable managing a large project load.
o Personal cell phone required (eligible for reimbursement).
o Travel to customer sites reimbursed (excluding home-to-office).
Key Responsibilities:
o Own assigned projects through all 8 Gates of the lifecycle.
o Serve as primary point of contact for internal teams and customers.
o Define project scope, timelines, work orders, and engineering study applicability.
o Review/approve customer submittals and ensure design delivery meets schedule.
o Monitor schedules, performance, and risks; remove roadblocks to maintain delivery.
o Provide proactive communication and workload forecasts to stakeholders.
o Track financials, forecast annual and lifecycle spend, and justify variances.
o Reconcile actual-cost work orders with finance and customers.
o Develop solutions for complex project issues with minimal oversight.
o Coordinate and schedule site meetings, inspections, construction activities, and ad-hoc discussions.
o Track and report project status, health, forecasts, and completion dates.
o Mentor and support team members.
o Maintain timely communication (expected response time: within 24 hours).
Qualifications:
o High School Diploma required; B.S. in Business/STEM preferred.
o 7+ years combined experience, including:
o 5+ years project management, and
o 2+ years electrical utility service planning/design.
o Advanced skills in Microsoft Office, including Excel formulas, data analysis, and Power BI.
o Strong ability to read, analyze, and translate technical data for non-technical audiences.
