Dynamics Developer

Location: Greater Cleveland, OH (100% On-site)

The Dynamics Developer serves as a technical thought leader, driving the implementation of technical solutions within D365 Finance and Operations (F&O). This role is development-heavy, requiring a mix of system research, process improvement, and hands-on coding. You will maintain and enhance solutions using Dynamics AX (X++) while having the opportunity to integrate modern technologies like T-SQL, C#, and cloud-based tools into a complex manufacturing environment.

• Technical Architecture: Act as the lead subject matter expert for technical configuration, customizations, and data migration for the D365 F&O platform.
• Solution Design: Lead collaborative design sessions to translate complex business needs into technical requirements, including user stories and data flows.
• Continuous Improvement: Analyze and troubleshoot technical issues within AX and D365 deployments to ensure peak system performance.
• Business Intelligence: Develop and maintain analytics architecture using Power BI and Azure (Data Lake, Data Factory, Synapse).
• Environment Management: Handle LCS, DevOps, and Azure instance management and deployment.

• ERP Experience: Proven background in Dynamics AX 2012 or D365 Finance and Operations.
• Languages: Proficiency in X++ is required; experience or a desire to learn T-SQL, C#, and ASP.NET is highly preferred.
• Modern Tooling: Familiarity with Power BI modeling, Power Automate, Odata, and Data Entity Store.
• Integrations: Experience with Custom API approaches (AIF) and Data/Customization Migration toolsets.
• Emerging Tech: Willingness to work on diverse projects involving REST APIs and hardware-adjacent projects (e.g., SOC/Raspberry Pi).

• Education: BS/BA in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. (A 2-year degree with significant professional experience will be considered).
• Experience: 7 10 years of combined education and professional experience in software development.
• Communication: Strong ability to bridge the gap between technical and non-technical audiences.
• Environment: This is a 100% on-site position in the Northeast Ohio area. Candidates must reside locally or be willing to relocate to the Greater Cleveland region.
