Luna Data Solutions has an immediate contract position opening (contract term approximately 12 months with possible extension) for a Configuration Analyst resource with our client located in Austin, TX. This is a hybrid role, where this resource will work onsite 2 days per week.
Role: Configuration Analyst
Description:
This resource will work in ITSM Operations overseeing CMDB support services according to SLA's, including requests to provision and de-provision
CIs, and regular maintenance work including ServiceNow discovery, CMDB health checkup, De-Duplication tasks, data cleanup, and reporting.
Key Responsibilities/Activities:
- Responsible for daily administration, stability, and performance of CMDB.
- Responsible for managing the CMDB Health Dashboard administration.
- Create and maintain custom and out-of-the-box integrations.
- Review critical incident outage resolution results and responses and dispositions of failed changes due to CMS-related issues.
- Ensure that CMDB data is available and reliable to support other ITSM processes (Change, Incident, Problem, etc.).
- CMDB Analysis, Reporting, PA, CSA, and Discovery
Required Qualifications:
- Knowledge of CMDB CSDM and CI relationship.
- Knowledge of CMDB Ownership Process.
- Knowledge of CI and Asset LCM process.
- Knowledge of Transform Maps.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience with IT Asset Management (ITAM).
- Minimum of 3 years of experience with IT Configuration Management Health and Data Management.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience with Configuration Management Database (CMDB).
- Minimum of 2 years of experience with Common Service Data Model (CSDM).
- Minimum of 1 year of experience with IT Operations management.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience with ServiceNow Discovery.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience with IT Service Management, ITIL practices.
- Minimum of 1 year of practical experience with relational database structures and with record relationships and data keys.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience performing Data Quality analysis and data source comparison auditing.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 3+ years of IT Service Management, ITIL practices experience
- Minimum of 2 years of demonstrated detail-oriented work and a strong interest in the type of work that requires attention to detail.
- Understanding of how vendor, contracts, and software licenses data must be related to each other and assets within a CMDB.
- ITIL Foundations or ITIL Practitioners Certification.
