Title: Senior Systems Manager

Summary:
We are looking for a highly capable and forward thinking Senior Systems Manager to take full ownership of the company's IT environment. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on building systems, creating structure, and shaping technology operations from the ground up. As a single person IT department, you will be responsible for evaluating current systems, implementing improvements, driving new initiatives, and remaining hands on in daily support. You will collaborate closely with organizational leadership and manage relationships with third party technology partners to ensure secure, reliable, and scalable IT operations across both office and field teams.
Responsibilities;
Infrastructure & Systems Ownership
Assess current IT systems and outline a roadmap for modernization, expansion, and overall improvement.
Manage the full lifecycle of hardware, software, servers, and network infrastructure across all locations.
Administer Microsoft 365 environments, including user provisioning, permissions, and device policies.
Oversee upgrades, system integrations, and data migration projects.
Serve as the primary point of contact for external IT service providers, ensuring quality and accountability.
Establish and refine IT processes, documentation, governance standards, and best practices.
Field Technology & Operational Support
Deploy and oversee mobile device management (MDM) solutions for field personnel.
Ensure stable and secure connectivity at job sites, including VPN usage, remote access, and wireless networks.
Support field applications such as timekeeping systems, project tracking tools, and asset management platforms.
Provide hands on technical support, troubleshooting, and training for field users on laptops, tablets, and mobile devices.
Coordinate installation, monitoring, and maintenance of jobsite technology such as printers, hotspots, switches, and security cameras/systems.
Skills:
Strong background in IT administration, systems management, and infrastructure oversight.
Experience building or maturing IT environments, processes, and operational standards.
Proficiency with Microsoft 365 administration and device management.
Solid understanding of networking, hardware, software, and remote access technologies.
Familiarity with MDM platforms and field based technology support.
Experience managing vendors, service providers, and outsourced IT relationships.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with leadership and field teams.
Comfortable functioning as the sole IT owner in a hands on capacity.
