Job Description:

Role & Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, execute, and maintain robust automated test scripts using Java, Selenium WebDriver, and Cucumber (BDD).

• Collaborate closely with developers, QA analysts, and business analysts to understand requirements and define comprehensive test scenarios.

• Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines to ensure fast, reliable, and high-quality software delivery.

• Identify, log, track, and validate defects with detailed analysis, reports, and improvement recommendations.

• Build, maintain, and enhance scalable and reusable automation frameworks.

• Participate in code reviews, ensuring adherence to best practices, coding standards, and test automation quality.

• Drive continuous improvement of QA processes, testing standards, and methodologies.

• Support Agile delivery by contributing to sprint planning, story grooming, and test strategy discussions.

• Stay up to date with emerging tools, trends, and technologies in test automation and quality engineering.

Required Skills & Expertise:

• 8+ years of experience in QA Automation / SDET roles.

• Strong programming skills in Java (mandatory); Python knowledge is an added advantage.

• Hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver and/or Playwright.

• Solid experience with BDD frameworks (Cucumber/Gherkin).

• Strong understanding of Test-Driven Development (TDD/BDD) and continuous delivery practices.

• Proven experience designing, developing, executing, and maintaining end-to-end automated test suites.

• Ability to analyze user stories and acceptance criteria to create effective automated test cases.

• Good understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), STLC, and QA methodologies.

• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.

• Hands-on exposure to CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps.

• Strong communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.

• Ability to take ownership and work independently with a strong sense of accountability.

Education:

• Bachelor s or Master s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
