Job Description: Lead Tester

Location: Englewood Cliffs, NJ (Onsite)

Type: Contract/Subcon, Full Time/Lateral

Responsibilities:

• Lead end to end QA automation for a microservices based eCommerce platform, owning a test strategy across APIs, UI, and integrations.
• Build and integrate robust automation frameworks into GitLab CI/CD pipelines to enable fast, reliable releases.
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and DevOps to ensure quality across checkout, payments, orders, and returns.
• Test Strategy & Quality Leadership
• Own and evolve the end-to-end test strategy for a distributed, microservices driven eCommerce ecosystem.
• Define quality standards, automation best practices, and coverage goals across API, UI, and integration layers.
• Champion a quality first mindset across Product, Engineering, and DevOps teams

Automation Frameworks & CI/CD Integration

• Architect, build, and maintain scalable automation frameworks for API, UI, contract, and integration testing.
• Integrate automated test suites into GitLab CI/CD pipelines to support rapid, reliable, and repeatable releases.
• Ensure test pipelines are optimized for speed, stability, and actionable reporting.

Cross Functional Collaboration

• Partner closely with Product Managers to understand requirements, edge cases, and business workflows.
• Work with Engineering teams to ensure testability, observability, and quality gates are built into services.
• Collaborate with DevOps to enhance deployment of pipelines, environment readiness, and test orchestration.

Quality Ownership Across Core eCommerce Flows

• Lead quality initiatives across checkout, payments, order lifecycle, returns, and related integrations.
• Validate interactions between microservices, third party providers, and internal systems.
