You will be a key member of the systems engineering team, performing environmental analysis, problem investigation, and coordinating directly with our Navy partners.
This position will employ you to determine, manage and assess how the missile system is fielded, requiring work within a diverse system life cycle spanning transport logistics, stowage in the boat, launch and flight.
As a Systems Engineer, you will:
Facilitate team interaction among stakeholders
Execute to team milestones & deliverables
Generate, maintain, and negotiate deliverable schedule
Establish system architecture and CONOPS, perform system level design and decomposition into requirements
Coordinate analysis with flight sciences to support verification and investigations
Perform system analysis and interface definition
Perform systems/hardware integration, test planning and execution
Develop plans to on-ramp new mission capabilities while protecting the primary mission
Lead and support design reviews, technical product reviews, and system safety review
Support failure investigations and anomaly resolution boards
Develop comprehensive solutions to sophisticated problems that connect the detailed, technical needs to transformational concepts and create opportunities for innovation
Support Missile production and test activities at component manufacturers and the Strategic Weapons Facilities
Drive anomaly investigations to closure
Perform data reviews and provide feedback to test and integration teams
Support systems/hardware integration, test planning and execution and find opportunities for build flow and test efficiencies
Basic Qualifications
Demonstrated Knowledge and application of Systems Engineering processes and one or more Systems Integration functions including:
o a.) System trade studies methodology and/or System modeling
o b.) Requirements and Interface Control Document (ICD) development
o c.) System Integration, Test and/or Verification
o d.) Test planning and execution with an understanding of all the interdependencies
o e.) Electrical component, box level, or system level design reviews
System design and electrical test experience with one or more subsystems or fields outside of Systems Engineering (e.g., Electrical, Mechanical, Propulsion, RF, Software, etc.)
Ability to obtain a DoD Top Secret clearance, therefore, U.S. Citizenship is required.
Desired skills
o Working knowledge of missile/spacecraft level electrical schematics, logic diagrams, and connector drawings
o Experience troubleshooting complex system level electrical test anomalies to root cause and corrective action
o Degree in Systems, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent), INCOSE Certification, or relevant Graduate Certificate
o Familiar with Agile tools and methodology (JIRA) and demonstrated digital transformation experience.
o Familiar with spacecraft/missile electrical architecture design, development, integration, test, with knowledge of space, missile and launch systems at the component through system level
o Validated understanding of systems thinking skills and behaviors
o Proven track record of good judgment and programmatic execution vital to meet technical requirements while balancing schedules and budget obligations
o Ability to operate in a dynamic environment and tackle numerous roles as part of the daily program operations
o Demonstrated behaviors of a systems problem solver; selects and applies appropriate systems thinking skills to solve very sophisticated problems and implement constructive change
o Active Top Secret DoD security clearance.

Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $89,300 - $157,550. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
