Job Title: Data Center Project ManagerThis role offers the opportunity to support large-scale data center expansion projects while working alongside highly skilled engineering, construction, and operations teams. Role OverviewAs a Data Center Project Manager, you will oversee the planning, execution, and operational readiness of new data center builds. You'll guide projects from early design through turnover, ensuring they meet operational standards, compliance requirements, and long-term reliability goals. This is a visible, hands-on role supporting mission-critical infrastructure.
Key ResponsibilitiesProject Management & Delivery- Lead small-to-medium projects through planning, execution, and closeout, ensuring timelines and budgets are met.
- Coordinate CE audits, compliance verifications, and operational readiness assessments.
- Identify infrastructure vulnerabilities and recommend improvements in equipment, design, and technology.
- Develop detailed project plans, integrate technical activities, and drive accountability across stakeholders.
- Prepare and present project proposals, findings, and reports to leadership.
- Review, recommend, and approve contract scopes and cost estimates.
Operational Leadership & Point of Contact- Serve as the primary operations interface during data center design and construction.
- Oversee new data center builds from an operational perspective, ensuring long-term maintainability.
- Manage responses to RFIs to minimize risk, confusion, or operational impacts.
- Implement QA/QC processes post-IST and throughout turnover phases.
- Manage turnover deliverables, warranty items, defect resolution, and TSB tracking.
- Participate in advisory committees, Go/No-Go evaluations, and design reviews.
- Conduct operational readiness walks (L2, L3, L4, Post-IST) to ensure alignment with operational standards.
- Collaborate with SMEs and logistics teams to manage spare-parts inventory and procurement.
Required Qualifications- OSHA or OSHA-approved NFPA 70E certification.
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- 5+ years of applied experience in a technical field (automotive, electrical, controls, data center, etc.)
- OR 5+ years of industry experience plus relevant college coursework.
- Ability to work flexible schedules, including potential 12-hour shifts or rotating schedules.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word).
- 5+ years of experience in critical environments such as:
- UPS, generators, AHUs
- Physical IT infrastructure (servers, SANs, networking, structured cabling, etc.)
Preferred Qualifications- Technical degree in Computer Science, Math, Telecommunications, Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Relevant certifications such as:
- ASICS/Inventory Control, CompTIA, Microsoft, Network+, PMP, ITIL, CDCP.
Work Requirements- Monday through Friday, core hours between 7 AM and 7 PM.
- Supplier-provided Windows 11 compatible laptop required.
PPE Requirements- Steel/composite toe boots (ankle-covering, slip-resistant, ASTM F2413-05 compliant)
- Type 2 ANSI Z89 hard hat or helmet
- ANSI/CE/EN-approved safety glasses with side shields
- Level 5 cut-resistant gloves
- High-visibility vest
- Ear protection (multiple-use ear plugs)

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $50.00 - $65.00/hr.
