TEKsystems is hiring a Mid-Level Communications Network Engineer to support the - the largest IT services program for the U.S. Navy. This role offers a unique opportunity to work at the backbone of the Navy Marine Corps, supporting enterprise-wide network operations that directly impact national defense.

What You'll Do

As a Communications Network Engineer, you will:

• Design, develop, and integrate current and future enterprise network architectures
• Troubleshoot and resolve network outages, with a focus on BGP and OSPF
• Install, configure, and maintain Cisco routers and switches
• Define configuration baselines, version control, and support system upgrades
• Perform daily monitoring of network health and system nodes
• Support network design reviews with a strong emphasis on cybersecurity requirements
• Coordinate network upgrades and maintenance with installation and build teams
• Provide hands-on support for network operations, testing, and evaluations

Must-Have Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

• 6+ years of IT experience, with 4+ years in network administration
• (OR 4 years of experience with a Bachelor's degree in IT or a related field)
• Strong troubleshooting experience with BGP, OSPF, WAN environments
• Hands-on experience with Cisco routers and switches
• Active Secret clearance (required)
• Security+ and CCNA (or the ability to obtain both within 6 months of hire)

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Enterprise network architecture or design experience
• Prior experience supporting DoD or Navy networks
• Familiarity with configuration management policies and procedures
• Experience in large, complex, or regulated network environments

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $45.68 - $45.68/hr.
