Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Principal Program Manager to lead a high-impact program focused on pricing and global reference data. This role involves building and managing a new program of work that spans multiple projects and streams, with significant visibility and influence on product strategy.
As a senior leader, you will have ownership and autonomy to define the roadmap, establish deliverables, and collaborate closely with product and engineering teams. This is a critical, high-stakes position in a dynamic environment undergoing strategic transformation.
Key Responsibilities
- Program Leadership: Build and run a comprehensive program from the ground up, including defining roadmaps, KPIs, OKRs, and reporting structures for executive leadership.
- Strategic Planning: Partner with product and engineering teams to align program objectives with business priorities and long-term strategy.
- Stakeholder Management: Engage with C-level executives and senior internal stakeholders; manage relationships across cross-functional teams and client-facing groups.
- Technical Engagement: Collaborate effectively with engineering teams, demonstrating strong technical acumen and understanding of cloud concepts and technical challenges.
- Change Management: Drive adoption and transformation in environments with significant institutional knowledge and legacy systems.
- Reporting & Communication: Prepare and deliver polished presentations and reports for executive leadership, including the CEO.
Qualifications
- Experience: 10 -15 years in program or project management, ideally within financial services, market data, or related technology environments.
- Domain Expertise: Direct experience with market data, pricing, and reference data (e.g., exchanges, Bloomberg, or similar).
- Technical Skills: Ability to engage credibly with engineers and understand high-level technical concepts.
- Leadership: Proven ability to influence indirectly across engineering and product teams; strong relationship-building skills.
- Communication: Exceptional presentation and stakeholder management skills; comfortable operating with ambiguity.
- Soft Skills: Highly organized, self-starter, adaptable, and able to build rapport quickly.
Preferred Background
- Experience in environments undergoing strategic change.
- Familiarity with building programs in complex, global organizations.
