*Test Data Management (TDM) is a critical capability that ensures the availability of secure, high-quality, and production-like data in non-production environments to enable accurate and effective software testing. This role is responsible for designing and operating a scalable TDM ecosystem that balances data quality, security, compliance, and accessibility.
The role owns the end-to-end test data lifecycle, including requirement analysis, data discovery, masking of sensitive data, sub-setting, synthetic data creation, gold copy management, and automation of test data provisioning across environments.
Desired Skills & Experience:
- 6+ years in software development, QA, or data engineering delivery.
- 5+ years of strong hands-on experience in Test Data Management and advanced SQL.
- 3+ years of experience with Informatica IICS/IDMC.
- 2+ years working with Azure data ecosystem.
- 2+ years working Databricks (PySpark, Spark SQL and Delta Lake).
- 1+ year of experience with Python and libraries such as Pandas, NumPy, and Matplotlib.
- Strong knowledge of data masking, data sub-setting, and synthetic data generation techniques.
- Databricks Platform Knowledge Jobs, Workflows, Notebooks and Unity Catalog and schemas.
- Strong knowledge of real-time data pipelines, including creating and validating message schemas (JSON, Avro), publishing events, and verifying producer-to-Kafka message flows across multiple integrated systems.
- Experience working with SQL Server, Oracle, DB2, Azure SQL or equivalent databases.
- Working knowledge of Jira, QMetry, or similar test management tools.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.
Job Responsibilities:
Define and lead the TDM strategy, including tools, architecture, processes, standards, governance, and delivery models.
Build and manage a robust test data supply chain from Production to Non-Production using masking, sub-setting, and transformation techniques.
Design and maintain certified "Gold Copy" datasets for reuse across programs.
Implement TDM solutions for both relational and NoSQL data platforms.
Leverage Informatica and similar tools for masking, sub-setting, profiling, and synthetic data generation.
Own the TDM platform operations, stability, and continuous improvement.
Integrate TDM solutions with test automation frameworks and CI/CD pipelines for automated test data refresh and provisioning.
Service test data requests by analyzing, profiling, and sourcing data for complex business scenarios.
Partner with architects, developers, QA teams, and business stakeholders to design optimal and compliant test data solutions.
Conduct feasibility studies, create high-level designs, and execute Proof of Concepts (POCs).
Develop complex SQL queries for data validation, integrity checks, and data analysis.
Ensure large-scale test data availability with full referential integrity.
Coordinate with DBAs to migrate data across environments while protecting sensitive customer information.
Identify data quality gaps and recommend remediation strategies.
Support root cause analysis using data from Pre-Prod and Production (Cloud and On-Prem).
Prepare executive-level dashboards, metrics, and test data readiness reports.
Actively participate in defect triage and defect management processes.
Mentor and guide team members on data architecture, domain flows, and TDM best practices.
Operate effectively across onsite and offshore delivery models.
