Position: Teaching Assistant Juvenile Education

Location: Pendleton, IN 46064

• Supervise students in the classroom, including attendance tracking, behavior monitoring, assignment oversight, and daily record maintenance.
• Provide guidance and support to students in completing assignments prepared by the classroom teacher.
• Assist with classroom instruction and maintain an effective learning environment.
• Manage classroom activities to ensure safety, order, and compliance with policies.
• Follow established procedures during critical incidents to prevent injury, escape, or property damage.
• Maintain confidentiality of student records and sensitive information.
• Monitor and evaluate student progress and achievement.
• Operate job-related equipment and educational tools.
• Collaborate with other departments to enhance student learning outcomes.
• Participate in multidisciplinary treatment teams and prepare written reports as required.
• Attend faculty meetings, professional development sessions, and required training or certification programs.
• Develop, review, and maintain clear, accurate, and policy-compliant documentation.
• Promote positive working relationships with students, staff, contractors, interns, volunteers, and community partners.
• Maintain a professional and positive public image.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
