Job Title:Senior ITX (IBM Transformation Extender) Developer
Location:  Primarily remote, 3 times a year onsite in Reston, VA. Strongly prefer
candidates in the DMV+WV areas, but can extend to DE, PA, NC, NJ, NY, FL, TX
for strong candidates.

Duration:  12-month contract-to-hire
interview:  2 rounds of interviews, 2nd will be a panel and an onsite interview.


      Candidates must have excellent
people skills and strong verbal communication abilities.

Summary: CareFirst is looking for a Senior ITX (IBM Transformation Extender) Developer to support the EDI team.
The hired employee will be responsible for the development, maintenance, and
production support of EDI mappings, including designing EDI maps, translating
formats, and integrating communication protocols with external systems that
receive or send EDI transactions. 


This role does not involve on-call or shift work. However, will work with CareFirst's production support team for specific
needs. 

• 10+ years of ITX development experience

• Experience with ITX Healthcare Pack (Including EDI 834, 835, and 270 EDI

transactions)

• Experience with ITXA (IBM Transformation Extender-Advanced)

• Experience with ITX REST APIs

• Experience using adapters to connect MQ with databases

Nice to
have:

• Prior experience coaching/training junior-mid level developers

• Recent healthcare insurance industry experience
