Job Title: General Manager – Multi-Brand Cloud Kitchen & Café

We need a hands-on General Manager to own day-to-day operations, people, quality, and basic sales/marketing coordination.
Key Responsibilities
Operations & People
• Oversee all daily operations for the cloud kitchen and, later, the café.
• Manage scheduling, attendance, and performance of kitchen staff (Head Cook + other cooks/helpers).
• Make sure recipes, portion sizes, and standards are followed for all three concepts.
• Implement and enforce food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness per Texas guidelines.
• Coordinate with contractors / vendors as the physical space is under construction.
Menu Testing & Quality
• Work with the Head Cook to:
◦ Plan and run menu trials for coffee, sandwiches, and bowls.
◦ Organize tastings and gather feedback from owner, friends/family, early customers.
• Track which items are:
◦ Selling well
◦ Fast to prepare
◦ Profitable
◦ Well-reviewed by customers
• Decide with owner which items become final signature menu items.
Sales, Delivery & Customer Experience
• Coordinate with the Sales & Marketing Manager (or owner in that role) to:
◦ Set up and maintain DoorDash, Uber Eats, Grubhub, Google Business Profile.
◦ Ensure menus, item photos, and pricing are correct and consistent.
◦ Monitor ratings and reviews, respond to complaints, and improve service.
• Encourage repeat business via great service, quality, and on-time orders.
Inventory & Cost Control
• Oversee purchasing and inventory:
◦ Work with suppliers for coffee, bread, proteins, vegetables, dry goods, packaging.
◦ Maintain correct stock levels to avoid stock-outs and waste.
• Work with owner to:
◦ Track food cost, labor cost and basic P&L on a weekly/monthly level.
◦ Suggest pricing or menu changes to maintain healthy margins.
Pre-Opening & Launch Planning
• Help plan the transition from pure cloud kitchen to in-store café service.
• Support with:
◦ Hiring additional staff (cashier, barista, servers) closer to opening.
◦ Basic SOPs for front-of-house, customer service, and opening/closing checklists.
Requirements
• 3–5+ years of experience in restaurant/café management or assistant manager / shift lead role.
• Strong understanding of:
◦ Kitchen operations
◦ Food safety and hygiene
◦ Staff scheduling and supervision
• Comfortable using:
◦ Delivery apps dashboards (DoorDash, Uber Eats, etc.)
◦ Basic spreadsheets or POS reports.
• Good communication skills; able to coordinate between:
◦ Owner
◦ Head Cook
◦ Marketing / delivery partners
• Comfortable in a startup-style environment where processes are still being built.
