Kforce has a client that is seeking a Microsoft Platform Engineer for a remote role.
Overview:
Our client is seeking a Power Platform Engineer to support an ongoing transition from SharePoint On-Prem 2019 to SharePoint Online. As part of this modernization effort, the team is identifying and building new workflows, applications, and automation opportunities using the Microsoft Power Platform, with a strong emphasis on Power Automate and Power Apps.
This role requires a hands-on builder who can thoughtfully design, implement, and support secure, scalable, and high-availability workflows across SharePoint Online, Outlook, Teams, and Power Apps-while operating within non-premium Power Platform licensing constraints.
Key Responsibilities:
* Design, build, and maintain Power Apps (Canvas and Model-Driven apps) to support business requirements
* Develop and enhance Power Automate workflows, including: Email alerts; Case routing; Approval-like logic (without using premium approval workflows); and Parallel branches and child flows
* Deliver workflows that are secure, reliable, and highly available across Microsoft 365 services (SharePoint Online, Outlook, Teams, and Power Apps)
* Support the organization's migration from SharePoint On-Prem 2019 to SharePoint Online, identifying opportunities to modernize and automate processes
* Integrate Power Platform solutions with multiple data sources, primarily SharePoint Online, with exposure to SQL Server, APIs, and Dynamics 365 as applicable
* Apply strong Power Fx formulas to drive business logic and application behavior
* Design responsive UI layouts and customize Power Apps user experiences
* Collaborate with stakeholders who provide defined requirements, while also contributing thoughtful design and implementation approaches
* Provide clear examples of past solutions, including what was built and how it was implemented
REQUIREMENTS:
Microsoft Power Platform:
* Strong experience with Power Automate, including complex workflows, parallel branches, and child flows
* Hands-on experience building Canvas apps
* Familiarity with Model-Driven apps required (current or near-term use)
* Advanced knowledge of Power Fx formulas
* Experience designing responsive applications and UI customizations in Power Apps
Data Integration & Modeling:
Experience integrating Power Apps with multiple data sources:
* SharePoint Online (primary/current)
* SQL Server, APIs, Dynamics 365 (exposure preferred)
* Understanding of data modeling concepts, including list/table creation and relationships (SharePoint lists today; Dataverse potential in the future)
Platform Constraints Awareness:
* Experience working within non-premium Power Platform and SharePoint licensing, including the inability to use premium connectors or built-in approval workflows
Preferred Skills:
* JavaScript development experience
* Experience with ETL/ELT processes
* Strong understanding of JSON for integrations and workflow logic
* Familiarity with Power BI and integration for dashboards and reporting (nice to have, not required)
* A thoughtful, solution-oriented mindset-someone who considers why and how solutions are built, not just implementation
Preferred Certifications (Nice to Have):
* PL-400 - Power Platform Developer
* PL-200 - Power Platform Functional Consultant
* PL-600 - Power Platform Solution Architect
* AZ-900 - Azure Fundamentals
* SC-900 - Security, Compliance, and Identity Fundamentals
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
