Senior Cloud Security Engineer - Contract - Remote - $75.00 - $85.00/hr.

The final salary or hourly wage, as applicable, paid to each candidate/applicant for this position is ultimately dependent on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, the candidate's/applicant's qualifications, skills, and level of experience as well as the geographical location of the position.

Our client is seeking a Senior Cloud Security Engineer in for a remote opportunity

Role Description

Responsible for implementing and optimizing cloud solutions to support ISO capabilities. The role involves improving cloud engineering practices and ensuring seamless integration of security tools within the organization's cloud infrastructure.

Onboard and optimize logs for SIEM solutions using Microsoft Sentinel.
Troubleshoot configurations and connectivity issues.
Deploy new functionality using Infrastructure-as-Code using Terraform
Maintain intermediary logging tiers in Logstash
Configure and integrate security tools (SIEM connectors, protection systems, endpoint solutions) with IT systems.

Skills & Requirements

6+ years of experience delivering IT/cloud infrastructure projects.
Strong communication skills for collaboration and explaining security issues to non-technical stakeholders.
Microsoft Azure
Microsoft Sentinel
Kusto Query Language (KQL)
Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform)
GitHub
Understanding of MS Defender for Cloud / End Point.
Understanding of security principles (network, application, data protection, IAM/CIEM).
