Job Description
Job Summary
The AVD Architect is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable, secure, and cost-efficient Azure Virtual Desktop solutions. This role requires a deep understanding of Azure services, desktop virtualization, and end-user computing. Security and Compliance: Implement and enforce security best practices, including role-based access controls (RBAC), multi-factor authentication (MFA), and Conditional Access policies, to ensure compliance and a secure virtual desktop environment.
Performance and Optimization: Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize AVD performance and user experience. Implement cost-optimization strategies using autoscaling and other resource management techniques.
Automation: Automate routine management tasks using scripting languages such as PowerShell and deployment templates like ARM or Bicep.
Business Continuity: Design and implement robust disaster recovery (DR) and high-availability (HA) solutions to ensure business continuity.
Collaboration and Leadership: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, mentor junior staff, and provide technical leadership throughout the project lifecycle.
