Role : Network Consulting Engineer
Location : Austin, TX. (2 3 days per week onsite)

Client is seeking a Network Consulting Engineer to work to resolve network issues with . You will support the customer in various capacities, such as TAC Engineer, or on-site consultant. Typically, we seek CCNP or equivalent network certification, with a strong software development background.
- The client is seeking a strong Consulting Engineer for a contract position with an initial duration of 11 months, with a high likelihood of extension.
- The role follows a hybrid work model, requiring 2 3 days per week onsite in Austin, TX.
- The ideal candidate should have 8 12 years of overall experience, with strong expertise in routing and switching.
- A minimum of 3 4 years of hands-on experience with Cisco Catalyst Center (DNAC) is mandatory.
- Basic knowledge of Python is preferred and considered a nice-to-have.
- Occasional travel is required
Special Requirement: Cisco Catalyst Center (DNAC) configuration/integration experience
Certifications
- Candidates with approximately 10+ years of experience are expected to have some industry-standard certifications (e.g., CCIE, CCNP, Cisco DevNet); however, certifications are not mandatory for this role.
Important Note from Hiring Manager
- Candidates having ACI Nexus experience only will not be a fit for this role
- Hands-on experience with is critical and non-negotiable
- Candidates must have very strong experience with Catalyst Center (DNAC)
- 3 years' experience with Cisco Catalyst Center (DNAC) is required
Interview Process
- Qualification screening for each candidate will be conducted by Glow Networks
- The customer interview will be conducted by two Senior Architects; duration will be approximately 45 60 minutes
- A manager or team interview may be scheduled at the customer's discretion
Education/Experience and Competencies:
- BS degree required, MS degree desired
- CCNP or equivalent experience strongly desired
- 5 years' experience with Cisco Catalyst Center (DNAC)
- 10+ years' network engineering experience
- Python experience is strongly desired
- Must be willing to travel 25%
- Strong teamwork, good communication and documentation skills
- Ability to perform under strict deadlines.
