Purpose of this position:
You will be responsible for developing and executing a strategy that supports the achievement of sales and profitability targets for the Gorilla Glass business.
This role will collaborate with key internal and external stakeholders to enable sales of advanced applications for Gorilla Glass, including smart home devices, motorcycles, and non-display covers for consumer electronics.
This includes engaging in decisions on defining what products to develop and offer, building value proposition and selling tools, assisting with forecasting, and serving as a key collaborator with the Gorilla Glass commercial, finance, manufacturing, quality, and engineering organizations for day-to-day operations.
Major responsibilities:
Lead a cross-functional product team consisting of functional leads from Development, Product Engineering, Applications Engineering, Manufacturing, Marketing and/or Sales
Develop and execute a product line plan through collaboration with the product team
Understand and manage the profit and loss of the product line
Develop and articulate value propositions that improve margins for Client's products and enable new/enhanced selling opportunities with customers
Work with Program Management to develop and launch new products
Develop the product roadmap and manage the product line through the stages of innovation, from product concept through commercialization and life-cycle management
Support the development of product pricing strategies
Understand downstream market requirements and assess competitive threats and implications for the product line
Address new product/special requests by developing a business case (including P&L and balance sheet implications) to determine the feasibility and pricing requirements
Work with Manufacturing and Sales to identify opportunities to reduce complexity and cost reduction in the manufacturing process both at Client plant(s) and the customer site, as appropriate.
Manage the obsolescence process, as necessary, to extract maximum value through the end of the product lifecycle
Provide and maintain necessary sales tools such as positioning statement, value proposition presentation, and other sales tools to customer-facing organizations to ensure effective deployment of product line strategies
Work with legal and sales teams to define contractual terms and participate in the approvals of the supply agreement process
Work with marketing communications to support development of external communications, including product collateral, tradeshow and conference materials, press releases, public relations, web communications and social media

Education / Experience:
Bachelor of Science (4 year) degree or business (4 year) degree with analytical background and strong potential for technical learning.
Minimum of 3 years work experience product line management, marketing, manufacturing, or engineering in an engineering based and customer-focused environment.
Demonstrated track record of managing projects and leading multi-functional teams
Desired:
MBA or equivalent demonstrated experience (i.e., extensive experience in business)
Financial analysis and accounting experience
Travel Requirements:
Up to 20% of time both within US and internationally
