Description
We are looking for an experienced Systems Administrator to join our team in Tallahassee, Florida. In this long-term contract role, you will be responsible for managing and optimizing cloud services and platforms to enhance the organization's infrastructure, applications, and data systems. This position involves a broad range of tasks, including overseeing security measures, troubleshooting systems, and ensuring the effective performance of shared resources. The ideal candidate will possess the technical expertise to lead multi-faceted technology initiatives and provide daily operational support.
Responsibilities:
Administer and maintain cloud platforms, including Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 environments, ensuring reliability and performance.
Monitor systems and applications to uphold security standards, availability, and overall system efficiency.
Coordinate server configurations and administration tasks with internal teams and external contractors.
Develop and implement network policies, procedures, and firewalls to optimize system connectivity and security.
Troubleshoot system and application issues, perform performance tuning, and escalate complex problems to vendors when needed.
Establish and manage Azure DevOps projects, repositories, and pipelines to support application development.
Evaluate and recommend upgrades for servers and software to improve system performance and scalability.
Collaborate with teams across the organization to identify opportunities for system improvements and cost efficiency.
Lead efforts in designing and hosting complex application solutions using cloud services.
Analyze network performance metrics and execute installation, configuration, and testing of equipment as needed.
Requirements
Proven experience in systems administration, including cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure and AWS.
Strong knowledge of network configuration, performance monitoring, and troubleshooting.
Proficiency in managing Microsoft 365 environments and related applications.
Familiarity with Azure DevOps, including repository management and pipeline configuration.
Ability to implement and maintain security protocols, including identity and access management.
Excellent communication and planning skills to coordinate tasks across teams.
Demonstrated expertise in application development, cybersecurity, and compliance.
Experience with automation tools and technologies to streamline operations.
