Job Title: QA Automation Analyst

Job Location- Austin/Texas- Hybrid

Interview mode- In Person/ MS Teams

Job Summary

Develop, execute, and maintain manual and automated test scripts across multiple testing types.
Prepare UAT test cases aligned with business requirements and conduct walkthroughs with stakeholders.
Track test execution and provide clear and timely reporting.
Use Jira to log, categorize, prioritize, and track defects throughout the SDLC.
Create and maintain Requirements Traceability Matrices (RTM).
Work closely within Agile/Scrum teams to support planning, development, testing, and release activities.
Support dev, test, and UAT environments and assist in troubleshooting defects.
Ensure test coverage for authentication workflows, user permissions, and role-based access controls.
Perform SQL-based data validation using CRUD queries.
Conduct API testing and automation using tools such as Postman, SOAPUI, or JMeter.
Execute automation scripts using UFT.
Utilize accessibility testing tools to support WCAG 2.1 AA compliance.
Communicate complex technical information clearly in written and oral formats.
Handle multiple priorities and work effectively under tight deadlines.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams and maintain strong working relationships.
Accurately estimate work, manage time, and contribute to project delivery milestones.

Job Requirements

Experience writing and executing manual and automated test cases.
Experience creating detailed test plans.
Strong understanding of software usability concepts, SDLC, and requirements traceability.
Hands-on experience with Xray Test Management.
Proficiency in Jira for defect tracking and project coordination.
Strong SQL skills, including Create, Read, Update, Delete operations.
Experience conducting and automating API tests using Postman, SOAPUI, JMeter, or similar tools.
Expertise in QA automation and scripting using UFT.
Experience with multiple testing types (unit, integration, regression, smoke, acceptance, system, stress, performance).
Knowledge of code coverage tools and systems analysis.
Strong communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.
Ability to work independently and as part of an Agile Scrum team.
Ability to work under pressure and manage tight timelines.
Demonstrated problem-solving skills for addressing defects, errors, and user inquiries.
Ability to accurately track work hours and estimate task effort.
Knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming (preferred).
Experience with accessibility testing tools for WCAG 2.1 AA compliance (preferred).
Experience working in government or public-sector environments (preferred).

Minimum Requirements

8+ years: Writing and executing test cases and creating test plans.
8+ years: Knowledge of software usability concepts, requirements traceability, and SDLC.
8+ years: Experience using Xray and Jira.
8+ years: Strong SQL (CRUD) query skills.
8+ years: Experience with automation using UFT.
8+ years: API testing and automation using Postman, SOAPUI, JMeter, or similar tools.

Preferred Qualifications

5+ years: Knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming.
5+ years: Experience with accessibility testing tools and WCAG 2.1 AA standards.
