This is a rare opportunity to build secure, compliant cloud environments from the ground up - while partnering with engineering, security, and architecture teams on a mission-critical federal compliance initiative.
What You'll DoAs the lead Azure Cloud Architect, you'll design and validate cloud infrastructure to meet strict federal compliance frameworks, including FedRAMP Moderate/High, GCC High, IL4/IL5, and CMMC requirements. You'll ensure every aspect of the cloud environment adheres to rigorous zero-trust, least-privilege, and audit-ready standards.
Key Responsibilities:- Architect secure, compliant Azure GCC High environments for CUI application hosting
- Define cloud networking, identity, encryption, monitoring, logging, and access control standards
- Validate configurations against DoD-approved controls and federal compliance requirements
- Lead cloud migration planning and execution activities
- Partner with security and infrastructure teams to implement zero-trust and least-privilege models
- Produce architecture diagrams, configuration documentation, and evidence for compliance audits
- Support preparation for upcoming third-party CMMC assessment
Required Experience- Azure Cloud Architecture (GCC High / GovCloud)
- Designing compliant cloud environments for CUI workloads
- FedRAMP, NIST 800-171, CMMC, DoD cloud security frameworks
- Zero-trust design principles
- Architecture documentation (diagrams, control mappings)
- Complex cloud migrations
Nice to Have- AZ-305: Azure Solutions Architect Expert
- Experience supporting CMMC audits or working with C3PAOs
- Prior work in defense-, aerospace-, or government-regulated industries
Work Environment- Hybrid onsite - 3 days onsite (Tue-Thu), remote Mon/Fri

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $95.00 - $110.00/hr.
