Our dedicated professionals share our lawyers' commitment to excellence and show up each day to do meaningful work that helps drive global business, investment and innovation forward.

What You'll Do

Are you energized by architecting secure, intuitive collaboration solutions that empower legal teams to work efficiently and confidently? As a SharePoint Solutions Engineer I, you will lead the design, implementation, and governance of SharePoint Online and Microsoft 365 (M365) collaboration environments that support matter-centric workflows across the Firm. Sitting within the broader technology ecosystem that partners closely with Legal Operations, Records, Information Security, and Practice Groups, this role shapes how attorneys and business professionals collaborate, manage knowledge, and safeguard client confidentiality.

You will architect scalable, compliant, and user-friendly solutions that enhance knowledge management, streamline workflow automation, support ethical wall requirements, and improve both internal and external collaboration.
  • Site Provisioning & Architecture - Define and enforce SharePoint Online (SPO) site standards, hub site models, metadata structures, and navigation aligned with legal practice groups.
  • Template Development - Create and maintain SharePoint and Microsoft Teams workspace templates with permissions, lifecycle automation, and external sharing controls.
  • Systems Integration - Integrate SharePoint with legal systems such as document management, matter intake, conflicts, and billing platforms while automating workflows using Microsoft Power Platform.
  • Security & Governance Management - Establish governance for content lifecycle, quotas, access controls, ethical walls, and restricted matters.
  • Information Architecture & Data Stewardship - Build and maintain metadata dictionaries that drive governance, labeling, and retention policies.
  • Policy & Compliance Controls - Design, test, and implement SharePoint-driven policies leveraging Microsoft Purview Data Loss Prevention (DLP), sensitivity labels, and sensitive information types.
  • Branding & Experience Design - Oversee the Microsoft 365 Brand Center to ensure consistent Firm branding across all collaboration tools.
  • Enterprise Search Enablement - Partner with design leads to enhance enterprise search experiences across SharePoint, the document management system, Microsoft Teams, Exchange Online, and Microsoft Search.
  • Request & Workflow Automation - Develop intake forms and workflows for governance processes using Power Apps and Power Automate.
  • AI & Automation Enablement - Architect Copilot-ready environments that support automated content summarization, workspace setup, and metadata tagging aligned to Firm governance standards.
  • Persona-Based Workspace Design - Develop tailored workspace solutions for attorneys, paralegals, litigation support, knowledge management, and other roles to optimize collaboration and navigation.
  • User Support & Issue Resolution - Provide support for SharePoint issues, execute scheduled weekend maintenance, and participate in a 24x7 on-call rotation for escalations.
  • Roadmap & Leadership - Contribute to roadmap planning, mentor junior staff, support risk and compliance reviews, contribute to client RFPs, and evaluate new M365 features for adoption.

What You'll Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field; equivalent experience considered.
  • Experience: Minimum of 6 years implementing, supporting, and managing M365 solutions in a mid-to-large enterprise, including at least one year with Microsoft Teams or Microsoft 365 Copilot.
  • Microsoft 365 Expertise - Deep experience administering SharePoint Online, OneDrive for Business, and Microsoft Teams at scale.
  • Modern SharePoint Development - Proficiency with SharePoint Framework (SPFx), Modern PnP search web parts, Power Automate workflows, and Power Apps; knowledge of SharePoint On-Premises is a plus.
  • Solution & Integration Design - Strong grounding in information architecture, content types, taxonomies, navigation models, search schemas, and integration design for line-of-business systems.
  • Search & Copilot Skills - Experience building customized Microsoft Search solutions and integrating with Microsoft Search & Intelligence Center to support persona-driven content experiences.
  • Security & Compliance Knowledge - Hands-on experience with Microsoft Purview, Data Loss Prevention, retention policies, eDiscovery, and governance for regulated environments.
  • Scripting & Automation - Proficiency with PowerShell and Microsoft Power Platform for automation and API-based integrations using Microsoft Graph, PnP, and REST APIs.
  • Technical Troubleshooting - Demonstrated ability to diagnose and resolve complex Microsoft 365 technical issues efficiently.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage stakeholders, present solutions, and collaborate across teams.
  • Experience driving initiatives, leading change, estimating project work, planning sprints, and working within Azure DevOps pipelines.
  • A growth mindset with a commitment to staying current on emerging Microsoft 365 capabilities and legal technology trends.
  • Industry Knowledge (Preferred) - Familiarity with legal workflows, confidentiality standards, and professional services environments.
