Position SummaryThe
Systems Analyst is responsible for supporting, enhancing, and maintaining core infrastructure systems across the organization. This role focuses on server administration, virtualization, cloud technologies, system monitoring, and operational reliability. The ideal candidate will bring strong hands-on experience with Windows Server environments, VMware virtualization, Active Directory, and Microsoft enterprise technologies.
The Systems Analyst plays a critical role in ensuring system stability, uptime, and security while contributing to long-term infrastructure planning and modernization initiatives.
Key ResponsibilitiesServer & Infrastructure Administration- Manage, maintain, and monitor Windows Server environments, including patching, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.
- Administer virtualization platforms such as VMware ESXi, vCenter, and virtual storage components.
- Support and optimize infrastructure systems including physical servers, virtual hosts, SAN/NAS storage, and backup environments.
Microsoft Enterprise Services- Administer Active Directory, Group Policy (GPO), DNS, DHCP, and related identity services.
- Support Exchange, O365/Microsoft 365 services, and enterprise messaging systems.
- Assist in system integration, deployments, upgrades, and migrations within the Microsoft ecosystem.
Cloud & Hybrid Environment Support- Provide support for cloud computing platforms, primarily Azure, including VMs, identity, security, and hybrid connectivity.
- Assist with cloud adoption strategies and optimization of hybrid system performance.
Network & Security Support- Provide basic support for networking components including switches, firewalls, routing, and connectivity troubleshooting.
- Assist with the implementation and maintenance of security systems, endpoint protection, and identity access controls.
- Participate in audits, compliance support, and enforcement of security policies.
Backup, Recovery & High Availability- Configure and manage backup platforms and data recovery processes.
- Monitor system integrity, storage utilization, and backup success/failure rates.
- Participate in planning and testing disaster recovery and business continuity efforts.
Systems Monitoring & Operational Support- Monitor infrastructure health and performance to prevent downtime and identify anomalies.
- Perform root-cause analysis on system issues and implement long-term corrective actions.
- Provide escalated support for server, application, and infrastructure-related incidents.
Project Participation & Roadmap Planning- Assist in developing and executing strategic roadmaps for systems modernization.
- Participate in infrastructure upgrades, technology refreshes, and new solution implementations.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and propose improvements to increase reliability, security, and efficiency.
Required Skills & Qualifications- Hands-on experience with Windows Server administration.
- Strong knowledge of VMware virtualization platforms.
- Experience with Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, and related Microsoft infrastructure technologies.
- Familiarity with O365, Exchange, and Microsoft cloud services.
- Basic networking knowledge (routing, switching, VLANs, firewalls).
- Strong troubleshooting and system diagnostic skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr.
