Job Title: Product Analyst III
Location: Charlotte, NC (Optimist Hall) - Hybrid
Position Summary:
- Workers at this level manage work with minimal supervision. Incumbents are expected to develop advanced skills and work independently, with guidance limited to unusual or complex projects
- They are fully competent in use of concepts and procedures, identify problems, develop solutions, and take actions to resolve them.
- This role provides and leads analytical support to Product Owners and Managers engaged in the discovery, design, and delivery of AI-related products.
- Unlike traditional data-heavy analyst roles, this position emphasizes critical thinking and storytelling with data-translating insights into strategic recommendations that align with business goals and ROI.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Assist Product Owner with user research and story writing.
- Perform process mapping, value stream mapping, process analysis, and ROI analysis.
- Develop and execute quality assurance plans.
- Support change management functions for successful product implementation.
- Collaborate with the product team to identify opportunities for efficiency gains and cost savings.
- Utilize data to develop and implement solutions that demonstrate value (e.g., ROI, user impact).
- Translate data into meaningful insights and narratives for leadership.
- Create visual representations of data using tools like Power BI and Excel.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Business, Industrial Engineering, Information Management, or similar discipline.
- In lieu of a degree: 9+ years of relevant experience.
- With a degree: 5+ years of experience in a related business area.
- Experience writing business cases and defining opportunities with limited data.
- SQL Experience
- Familiarity with Google Analytics, Power BI, Excel.
- General understanding of AI and how data supports AI initiatives.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in the utility industry.
- Six Sigma Black Belt certification.
- Design Thinking experience.
- Six Sigma Green Belt certification or equivalent experience.
