Role: MS Endpoint Technician - AD, InTune
Duration: 12 Months (possible extension)
Location: Columbia, SC (On-Site)
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (40 hours/week)

Role summary:
The Client Technologies Technician provides onsite endpoint support for desktops, laptops, tablets, and related peripherals at the Headquarters location. This role focuses on endpoint deployment, configuration, asset tracking, and end-user troubleshooting under the direction of Information Technology Services (ITS).
Job Responsibilities:
- Build and deploy desktops, laptops, and tablets using Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM).
- Validate BitLocker encryption and confirm recovery keys are stored in Active Directory and Intune.
- Ensure MECM client installation and successful endpoint check-in following task sequence completion.
- Maintain network connectivity to the NTS Network during and after deployments.
- Install and verify all required software per build documentation.
- Track and document endpoints and peripherals in the IT Asset Management system.
- Troubleshoot and resolve endpoint hardware and software issues
- Document actions (resolution notes) in the Help Desk ticketing system.
- Perform routine maintenance and coordinate vendor repairs as needed.
- Assist with equipment decommissioning and disposal in accordance with established procedures.
Patch & Device Maintenance (Monthly):
- Connect backup tablets to the NTS Network for Patch Tuesday updates according to schedule.
- Ensure tablets and iPads are powered, connected, and properly shut down after patching windows.
Required knowledge, skills, and abilities:
- 4+ years of desktop and networked systems support.
- 4+ years of endpoint deployment, hardware/software installation, and repair.
- 4+ years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Help Desk ticketing systems.
- Experience supporting NTS Network environments.
- Working knowledge of Active Directory and/or Microsoft Intune.
Education:
- High School diploma required.
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred (may substitute for experience)..
Physical Requirements:
- Lift up to 50 lbs occasionally; up to 20 lbs frequently.
