Tier 2 Technical Support Specialist
Location: Northeast Houston (Zip Code 77044) ONSITE
Pay: $27.50/Hour
Type: Open-ended contract with potential to go permanent
No C2C or 3rd Party Vendors at this time.
Overview:
We are seeking a Tier 2 Technical Support Specialist to join our clients IT team in Northeast Houston. This is an open-ended contract role with the possibility of becoming permanent. The ideal candidate will provide 2nd level technical assistance to end users, ensuring timely and effective resolution of IT issues.
Responsibilities:
Provide frontline support for Windows desktop environments and common productivity applications.
Troubleshoot user issues related to logon, profiles, printers, and network connectivity.
Perform basic Active Directory tasks such as password resets, account unlocks, and group membership updates.
Manage and resolve tickets through a ticketing system (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira, Zendesk) while meeting SLAs.
Support Microsoft 365 applications (Exchange Online, Teams, OneDrive, Outlook) including mailbox permissions and configuration issues.
Install and update software, perform basic endpoint maintenance (patching, antivirus checks).
Document resolutions and contribute to knowledge base articles.
Qualifications:
Experience with Windows 10/11 troubleshooting and support.
Basic knowledge of Active Directory administration.
Familiarity with Microsoft 365 applications and support tasks.
Strong customer service and communication skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
