We are seeking a skilled and customer-focused Desktop Engineer/Support Technician to join our team at the Western Kentucky Correctional Complex. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical abilities, professionalism, and a commitment to delivering high-quality support in a unique and fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities- Provide desktop support for approximately 210 devices across the correctional complex
- Install, troubleshoot, and repair hardware and software in a Windows-based environment
- Assist with maintenance and support of security cameras, servers, and network switches as needed
- Deliver responsive, customer-oriented technical support to Department of Corrections staff
- Work within secure areas of the facility and occasionally interact with inmates assigned to work details
Required Experience & Qualifications- Minimum 1-2 years of experience in Desktop Support or a similar technical role
- Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems, device installation, and troubleshooting
- Ability to diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and peripheral issues
- Excellent communication skills and a high level of customer service
