Platform Engineer
1+ Year Contract (can extend up to 3 years)
Malvern, PA (hybrid---onsite Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays)

End User Support and Product Life Cycle Management
Operations Support
User administration (approve sailpoint roles, provision licenses, communicate onboarding steps to user, ongoing add/remove of users)
Incident management (address platform issues, end user issues with platforms)
Upgrades, fixes, patches, feature requests/enhancements (Work with vendors on potential platform upgrades, patches and enhancements)
On daily calls with internal business partners (users of the platforms) and vendors when necessary, addressing issues and enhancements
Product Onboarding - work with IT and business onboarding teams on enhancements to platforms or net new product onboarding (Cvent IQ or new product)
We use Jira and Scrum to manage items and work in two-week sprints. These roles are more fluid as they have carved out time each sprint to address break/fix items with platforms.

Job Profile Summary
The Platform Engineer, Specialist ensures stable, secure, and high-performing platform solutions by managing escalations, troubleshooting issues, and optimizing system operations. This role partners with cross-functional teams to improve reliability, security, and scalability while driving automation, documentation, and continuous improvement. Additionally, the Specialist defines the strategic vision and roadmap for technical products within a business area, with potential enterprise-wide impact. Responsibilities include infrastructure monitoring, performance optimization, and adopting new technologies to enhance system efficiency.
1. Leads the planning, development, and implementation of new technical products while analyzing markets and defining detailed features, requirements, and implementation plans.
2. Designs, implements, and deploys platforms to meet business needs while identifying, recommending, and implementing performance improvements and issue resolutions.
3. Provides advanced technical support to ensure reliable production operations by troubleshooting hardware and software issues across multiple platforms and maintaining deep expertise in software and infrastructure systems.
4. Participates in the design and continuous improvement of the technical solution and ensures delivery of messaging, communication, and customer outreach, as necessary.
5. Develops technical standards, tests and evaluates vendor technologies, and recommends new technologies and vendor selections.
6. Evaluates and implements new technologies and vendor solutions to align with business and technical requirements while providing ongoing production support.
7. Understands client business functions and requirements to determine the most appropriate technical tools to meet their needs.
8. Document processes, system architecture, and technical decisions to support future updates, troubleshooting, and improve team collaboration.
9. Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Relevant experience in platform engineering, product ownership, systems support, or infrastructure management.
Undergraduate degree in a related field or the equivalent combination of training and experience.
Proven ability to lead planning, design, and implementation of technical products and platforms, including defining features, requirements, and roadmaps.
Ability to understand client business functions and translate requirements into appropriate technical solutions and tools.
Strong skills in designing, deploying, and optimizing platforms to meet business needs, with experience in performance tuning and issue resolution.
Capability to troubleshoot complex hardware and software issues across multiple platforms, ensuring reliable production operations.
Experience developing technical standards, evaluating vendor technologies, and recommending new tools and solutions aligned with business objectives.
Skilled in documenting processes, system architecture, and technical decisions to support updates, troubleshooting, and team collaboration.
