Job Title: Information Security Engineer (Contingent Resource)

Location: Cyber Core Locations - Iselin, NJ; Arizona; Charlotte, NC; Dallas, TX
Work Arrangement: Hybrid (3 days in-office per week)
About the Role

As an Information Security Engineer in this contingent assignment, you will consult on complex, large-scale initiatives that impact Information Security Engineering across the organization. You'll analyze and resolve multi-faceted security challenges, requiring deep evaluation of technical, procedural, and compliance factors. This role involves strategic collaboration with client teams and driving solutions that meet security and business objectives.
Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on technical support for the Checkmarx platform.
• Drive vendor accountability to address product defects and ensure timely resolutions.
• Support patching, upgrades, and testing activities.
• Collaborate with Product Owners, Application Security Champions, development teams, and offshore partners.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation reflecting process changes and technical details.

Minimum Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Information Security Engineering or equivalent (work experience, consulting, training, military, or education).
• 4+ years of application security experience.
• 2+ years of experience with Agile methodologies and tools such as Jira and Confluence (or equivalent).
• Strong understanding of OWASP Top 10 vulnerabilities.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot complex technology integration issues.
• Experience integrating AI detection and remediation tools with CI/CD pipelines and SAST tools (e.g., Checkmarx) is highly desirable.

Preferred Qualifications

• 2+ years of cloud security experience.
• 3+ years of scripting experience (Python preferred).
• 2+ years of SQL experience.
