Job#: 3019352 Job Description: Job Summary - IT Quality Assurance Analyst (Mid-Level) The IT Quality Assurance Analyst supports the planning and execution of quality assurance activities throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) for small to medium-sized initiatives. This role assists in identifying and analyzing IT quality-related issues, ensuring that systems, processes, and deliverables meet established quality standards. The analyst collaborates with cross-functional teams to support compliance with internal controls, including SOX and audit requirements. They contribute to maintaining QA documentation and help ensure that delivered products align with the organization's quality assurance practices and methodologies.
Responsibilities - IT Quality Assurance Analyst (Mid-Level)- Develop and execute test plans and test cases for small to medium-sized projects, ensuring alignment with project requirements and quality standards.
- Execute test cases in production environments with strong attention to detail to help ensure product quality.
- Communicate and log issues, defects, and testing status clearly and consistently.
- Write clear, reproducible test steps and document test execution results.
- Work closely with the test data management team to obtain appropriate test data for various testing scenarios.
- Participate in QA release cycles by reporting issues, tracking defects, and contributing to readiness assessments.
- Support project teams by helping to apply IT quality standards and procedures in accordance with the Continuous Delivery Pipeline (CDP).
- Review QA documentation for clarity, accuracy, and completeness, and provide feedback to ensure consistency with quality expectations.
- Assist in identifying opportunities to improve QA processes, tools, and procedures, including those related to compliance with SOX and internal audit requirements.
- Contribute to the preparation and delivery of presentations and status updates to internal stakeholders.
- Empathize with customers to identify issues and opportunities that impact the overall user experience.
- Perform other duties and support additional projects as assigned.
Required skills & experience:
- 3+ years of experience in business process design and implementation, software development and software design
- 3+ years of experience in creating SDLC deliverables (requirements, functional, design and test requirements)
- 3+ years of experience with a formal SDLC
- 2+ years of project management or lead level experience
- Bachelors degree in computer science or related field
Preferred skills:
- Development Experience: Familiarity with development work, particularly from a digital product team environment.
Process-Oriented Thinking: Strong understanding of order processing functions and a structured, process-driven approach to tasks.
