Summary

Job Title: Epic Bridges Analyst

Job Summary:
The Epic Bridges Analyst is responsible for designing, building, supporting, and maintaining Epic integration interfaces using Epic Bridges. This role ensures seamless data exchange between Epic and external systems such as labs, radiology, pharmacies, HIEs, and third-party vendors.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, build, test, and support Epic Bridges interfaces (HL7, FHIR, X12, and API-based integrations).
Monitor interface queues and resolve interface errors, message failures, and data inconsistencies.
Collaborate with Epic application teams (ADT, Orders, Clarity, Radiant, Willow, etc.) and external vendors to ensure accurate data exchange.
Configure interface specifications, routing, transformations, and message mappings.
Perform unit testing, integrated testing, and support go-live activities for new interfaces.
Troubleshoot real-time and batch interface issues and provide root cause analysis.
Maintain interface documentation, data flow diagrams, and build records.
Ensure HIPAA compliance and data security standards are followed.
Participate in upgrades, enhancements, and interface optimization initiatives.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Epic Bridges Certification (Required)
Strong knowledge of HL7 (ADT, ORM, ORU), X12, FHIR, and web services
Experience working with interface engines (e.g., Cloverleaf, Rhapsody, Mirth, InterSystems)
Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
Experience in healthcare data exchange and interoperability
Ability to read and interpret HL7 message structures and logs
Experience supporting production healthcare interfaces
