Location: Palo Alto, California (Partial Remote)
Employment Type: Contract to Perm

Role Overview

The Developer for ServiceNow will be responsible for configuring, administering, and scripting on the ServiceNow platform. This role involves working with leadership to develop technical solutions that satisfy business needs. The position requires flexibility, the ability to handle changes in priority, and context switching as needed based on leadership requests.

Key Responsibilities
  • Configuration and customization of the ServiceNow system, including creating workflows.
  • Build service requests from customer requirements, including requests, request items, and tasks using workflows.
  • Use scripting tools and ServiceNow functionality to automate tasks.
  • Perform integrations and process automation using ServiceNow Orchestration.
  • Gather specifications from the IT department and deliver a product that meets the needs presented.
  • Load, manipulate, and maintain data between ServiceNow and other systems.
  • Work with IT managers to generate views and reports as needed.
  • Analyze user requirements and current procedures to improve system capabilities and automate process workflows.
  • Perform system and integration testing with sample and live data.
  • Monitor the health, usage, and overall compliance of the application.
Required Qualifications

Experience: 5+ years of experience as a ServiceNow Developer.

Technical Skills:
  • Hands-on experience with ServiceNow modules including Field Service Management (FSM) or Nuvolo (Facilities Management), and Enterprise Asset Management (EAM).
  • Thorough understanding of ITIL/ITSM processes.
  • Knowledge of Active Directory / LDAP.
  • Knowledge of disciplined software release build/deploy processes.
  • Knowledge of integrating with internal and external applications and systems.
  • Knowledge of Javascript, HTML, and CSS.
  • Ability to interface and develop with Java/J2EE backend technologies.


Education: B.S. in Computer Science.

License/Certification: ServiceNow Developer certification.

  • Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to demonstrate analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to successfully design, develop, and support web-based applications.
  • Ability to work on multiple overlapping projects.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
