Data Scientist - Agentic AI Systems

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce is seeking a Data Scientist to support a major telecommunications client on a renewable contract basis in Greenwood Village, CO.

Summary:
This role focuses on building agentic AI systems to solve complex operational and network-related problems using metadata, telemetry, and advanced analytics. The position is fully remote and highly hands-on, working closely with platform and data engineering teams.

Key Tasks:
* Design and develop agentic AI and LLM-based solutions to detect, explain, and resolve anomalies
* Build statistical and machine learning models using metadata and telemetry data
* Analyze system behavior (e.g., latency spikes, performance degradation) and identify root causes
* Gather, prepare, and analyze data independently using internal tools and pipelines
* Collaborate with data engineers and platform teams to operationalize solutions
* Translate analytical findings into clear, actionable explanations

REQUIREMENTS:
* Strong background in machine learning and statistical data science
* Experience building solutions in Python (primary language)
* Data engineering skills (ability to source, clean, and prepare data independently)
* Experience with agentic systems and/or LLM-based workflows
* Familiarity with AWS (even at a basic level)
* Proficiency in Bash
* Experience with at least one additional programming language beyond Python

Nice-to-Have Qualifications:
* Networking or telecommunications domain experience
* Experience working with large-scale telemetry or monitoring data

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
