Role Summary

The SAP SCM Lead will serve as a trusted advisor to both business and IT stakeholders, providing functional leadership across SAP ECC Supply Chain Management solutions. This role is responsible for end-to-end solution design, configuration, validation, and delivery while driving business process harmonization and ensuring alignment with enterprise standards. The ideal candidate brings deep SAP SCM expertise, strong consulting skills, and experience delivering complex transformations under tight timelines.

Key Responsibilities:

SAP SCM Functional Leadership

• Act as Subject Matter Expert (SME) for SAP ECC Supply Chain Management.
• Lead solution design, configuration, and functional validation across SAP ECC SCM modules, including:
• MM (Materials Management)
• IM (Inventory Management)
• QM (Quality Management)
• WM (Warehouse Management)
• Provide comprehensive functional expertise in:
• Procurement and Purchasing processes
• Vendor and Material Master Data
• Invoice Verification and Material Valuation
• MRP (Material Requirements Planning)
• Goods Movements and Physical Inventory
• Stock Visibility and Batch Management
• Warehouse Organization Structure
• Picking, Packing, Warehouse Control
• Transfer Requirements and Transfer Orders
• Design and validate end-to-end SCM solutions within ECC environments.
• Map and migrate business processes from non-SAP ERPs to SAP ECC.
• Harmonize business processes across non-SAP entities migrating to SAP ECC.
• Support data migration strategy and functional design.
• Apply domain knowledge to Oil & Gas supply chain processes.

Workshops & Design Validation:

• Plan and facilitate business requirement workshops, process walkthroughs, and design validation sessions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align business needs with SAP standard functionality.
• Present solution options, trade-offs, and recommendations to senior stakeholders.

Business Process Analysis & Optimization:

• Conduct AS-IS and TO-BE business process analysis.
• Identify opportunities for process standardization, optimization, and efficiency improvement.
• Ensure SAP ECC configurations align with optimized business processes and internal controls.

Stakeholder & Communication Management:

• Act as a primary liaison between business users, IT teams, and external partners.
• Manage stakeholder expectations and resolve conflicts through strong communication and negotiation.
• Produce clear documentation, functional specifications, and executive-level status updates.

Delivery & Timeline Management:

• Operate effectively in fast-paced, multi-stream project environments with tight timelines.
• Support project planning, dependency management, and functional risk mitigation.
• Ensure timely completion of design, configuration, testing, and go-live support activities.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Functional Expertise

• 10–15 years of hands-on SAP SCM experience in SAP ECC.
• Strong configuration and troubleshooting skills across SCM modules.
• Proven experience with integrated SCM processes and cross-module dependencies.
• Experience supporting global template rollouts.
• Prior experience in Oil & Gas SAP implementations.

Business & Consulting Skills

• Strong business process analysis and optimization capabilities.
• Ability to translate business requirements into effective SAP solutions.
• Client-facing or consulting experience highly desirable.

Communication & Leadership

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proven ability to lead workshops and design validation sessions.
• Strong stakeholder management skills, including interaction with senior leadership.
