Role Overview:
The Sr. Connectivity IT Architect will lead the design and development of advanced IT architecture supporting connectivity, ensuring key business processes operate within defined SLAs. This role emphasizes AI-driven automation and intelligent integration strategies to streamline onboarding, optimize workflows, and enhance customer experience.
You will collaborate directly with McKesson customers, internal teams, Professional Services, and external partners to evaluate business processes and deliver AI-enhanced EDI and connectivity solutions that meet evolving healthcare needs.

Key Responsibilities:
- Architect AI-Driven Integrations: Design and configure interfaces with external systems using automation and AI-powered mapping tools.
- Generative AI Applications:
- Automate creation of integration specifications and process documentation.
- Deploy conversational AI assistants for customer onboarding and troubleshooting.
- Generate dynamic mapping templates for EDI/API integrations.
- Process Optimization: Use AI to monitor transactional flows, predict anomalies, and recommend improvements.
- Customer Engagement: Interface with customers and their technical teams to deliver tailored connectivity solutions.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Sales, Product Development, Professional Services, and Customer Experience Operations teams.
- Onboarding & Governance: Manage complex initiatives for customers, vendors, suppliers, and financial requirements; maintain Trading Partner Agreements.
- Drive Automation Strategy: Champion automation frameworks to reduce manual effort and accelerate integration timelines.
Qualifications:
Minimum Requirements:
6+ years of EDI or API experience
Critical Skills:
- Knowledge of API, HL7, XML, EDI and cXML file formats
- Knowledge of JD Edwards or Enterprise One
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to design process flow diagrams and data dictionaries
- Knowledge of AI and automation technologies
- Knowledge of EDI trading partner management
- Ability to tailor communications for technical, business, and executive audiences
- Strong project coordination and completion skills
Additional Knowledge & Skills:
- Familiarity with performance tools (Runtime Analysis, Code Inspector, SQL Trace, System Log)
- SQL (Oracle and/or DB2) and data analytics
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field preferred
- Experience with IBM Sterling B2B Integrator and AI-based mapping tools
- Knowledge of healthcare and distribution systems
