About the RoleWe're looking for a Virtual Directory Engineer to support and enhance our Information Security Engineering capabilities. In this role, you'll work closely with internal customers, partner with cross-functional teams, and contribute to the design, implementation, and support of virtual directory services. You will operate within an Agile environment and be a key resource for resolving moderately complex identity and directory challenges.
This position involves hands-on engineering work, customer interaction, technical troubleshooting, and contributing to broader platform initiatives.
ResponsibilitiesEngineering & Delivery- Contribute to moderately complex Information Security Engineering initiatives and deliverables.
- Implement, enhance, and support virtual directory solutions-primarily using RadiantOne (FID/VDS).
- Design and configure directory services that cache or proxy data from identity silos.
- Support RadiantLogic VDS and Oracle Unified Directory platforms.
- Participate in data center migration efforts and other strategic directory modernization work.
Customer Engagement & Support- Serve as a primary contact for internal customers; intake new requests and clarify requirements.
- Respond to inquiries through email, ServiceNow incidents, phone calls, and messaging channels.
- Facilitate troubleshooting meetings to resolve directory-related issues.
- Provide clear, customer-focused communication and guidance.
Operations & Documentation- Monitor system alerts and respond according to established procedures.
- Validate and update documentation, workflows, and runbooks.
- Support ad-hoc operational tasks as needed.
Minimum Qualifications- 4+ years of experience in Information Security Engineering, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, consulting, military experience, or education.
Preferred QualificationsTechnical Skills- RadiantOne FID/VDS (Top Skill)
- Virtual directory technologies (Radiant Logic, Oracle Unified Directory, PingDirectory, etc.)
- Strong understanding of LDAP concepts and identity & access management (IAM).
- Experience with PowerShell scripting.
- Familiarity with SQL (views, joins, lookups) and basic ETL concepts.
- Understanding of PBAC/RBAC/ABAC authorization models (helpful but not required).
- Exposure to SIEM tools (nice to have).
Soft Skills & Work Approach- Excellent customer-interaction and requirement-gathering skills.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to evaluate variable factors.
- Experience working in Agile environments.
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and contribute to large-scale deliverables.
