Job Title: Google Cloud Platform Architect

Employment Type: Full-Time (FTE)
Location: New Jersey (Remote)

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Google Cloud Platform Architect to design, build, and lead scalable, secure, and high-performance cloud solutions on Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform). The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on architecture experience, a deep understanding of cloud-native services, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver enterprise-grade solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Design and architect end-to-end solutions on Google Cloud Platform

Define cloud architecture standards, best practices, and governance

Lead migration of on-prem or multi-cloud workloads to Google Cloud Platform

Design scalable, highly available, and fault-tolerant systems

Implement security, IAM, networking, and compliance best practices

Work closely with DevOps, data, application, and infrastructure teams

Provide technical leadership, guidance, and mentorship to engineers

Optimize cloud costs, performance, and reliability

Participate in architecture reviews and technical decision-making

Create architecture diagrams, documentation, and solution proposals

Required Qualifications

15+ years of overall IT experience.

Strong hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform)

Expertise in core Google Cloud Platform services such as:

Compute Engine, GKE, Cloud Run

VPC, Load Balancing, Cloud DNS

Cloud Storage, BigQuery, Cloud SQL, Spanner

IAM, Cloud Security, Monitoring & Logging

Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)

Strong knowledge of DevOps / CI-CD tools and practices

Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform preferred)

Understanding of networking, security, and identity management

Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

Preferred Qualifications

Google Cloud Platform Professional Cloud Architect certification

Experience with data platforms, analytics, or AI/ML workloads on Google Cloud Platform

Exposure to hybrid or multi-cloud environments

Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
