Associate Level Manufacturing Engineer to join their dynamic Depot, Repair & Overhaul Engineering team in
Mesa, Arizona.Position Responsibilities:- Create manufacturing plans/routings under Deport Repair & Overhaul (DRO) for the purposes of restoration of fielded hardware per approved manuals and repair documentation. This can include dis-assembly, part inspection (repair/re-use/replace), assembly, testing requirements, special process control, tooling procurement.
- Optimize operational efficiency through business proposals/presentations on continuous process improvements, cost savings, cost reduction initiatives, analysis reports and plans for business efficiencies.
- Daily usage of systems such as TeamCenter, SAP, Haystack, Microsoft office products and other industry tools for engineering duties.
- Work in a fast paced environment directly located within proximity of shop floor and daily interaction with personnel working on products.
- Develops and implements production and tooling methodologies.
- Participates on Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) to integrate technical solutions across multiple disciplines.
- Develops, identifies and implements conceptual designs and maintains the program architecture for build. Leads and implements manufacturing plans.
- Conducts producibility and variation analyses to ensure that manufacturing process capability matches requirements.
- Assists in providing producibility information for inclusion in project plans and helps document producibility best practices.
- Analyzes design/build concepts to evaluate producible design/build definitions.
- Resolves technical problems of significant impact to performance, cost or schedule. Coordinates and implements new engineering principles, theories, advanced technologies and concepts.
- Validates and ensures production readiness of solutions to complex problems.
- Implements lean principles and technologies.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
- Experience in a manufacturing or manufacturing support environment
- Experience with the Vertical Lift Platforms (Cargo/Utility, Tiltrotor, and/or Attack)
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience): - Experience working on Vertical Lift platforms
- Experience working with the U.S. Army requirements
- Experience with Depot Maintenance Work Requirements
- Experience working in a Depot level Shop environment
- Experience with Manufacturing Execution System Common Image
