Project Manager for a Full-Time
position.
Job Summary:The NuAxis Project Manager (PM) leads highly technical client projects and collaborates with the Federal Government Project Manager to ensure alignment with program objectives. The PM is responsible for execution across scope, schedule, cost, and risk. The PM leads coordination of technical and non-technical government and corporate stakeholder communications and ensures high quality delivery. The contract is a modernization effort including application development, GIS development, data management, help desk, desktop support, and systems administration.
Key Responsibilities- Lead client project planning sessions as directed by government leadership and coordinate execution across engineering, data, GIS, reporting, and operations teams.
- Develop and oversee integrated project plans (schedule, milestones, dependencies), adjusting work as needed to ensure delivery commitments are met.
- Oversee project progress and ensure all contractual deliverables meet established deadlines and quality standards.
- Manage relationships with government and corporate stakeholders; facilitate decision-making, set expectations, and ensure clear communication.
- Manage incoming and outgoing client project documentation; ensure artifacts are up-to-date, traceable, and ready for review.
- Participate in the government development process (i.e., design, submission, review) and ensure stakeholder requirements are captured and validated.
- Develop, revise, and share project risk mitigation plans; proactively identify obstacles and execute mitigation strategies.
- Conduct project reviews and prepare detailed reports for government and corporate leadership on status, risks, issues, decisions, and next steps.
- Optimize and enhance project delivery processes and approaches where needed (i.e., Agile/Scrum ceremonies, backlog hygiene, reporting dashboards).
- Coordinate with security and operations stakeholders to track remediation activities, such as vulnerability fixes, and ensure sequencing aligns with compliance requirements.
- Assist with subcontractor coordination when needed; oversee performance, quality, and acceptance of deliverables.
Minimum Qualifications- PMI certification (PMP required).
- Minimum 7 years of project management experience
- Demonstrated experience managing complex projects with short timelines and multiple stakeholders in the Federal space.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Project, MS Word, MS Excel, and Adobe Acrobat.
- Skilled in oral and written communication with technical and non-technical audiences.
Preferred Qualifications- Experience managing projects using Scrum/Agile (highly desired).
- Experience supporting cloud-hosted (e.g., AWS) application delivery and SDLC execution.
- Experience coordinating remediation workstreams for security vulnerabilities.
- Experience supporting scientific/biological data or conservation-focused systems (nice to have).
