Infrastructure Project Manager

Description

We are looking for an experienced Project Manager/Sr. Consultant to join our team in Middleton, Wisconsin. In this role, you will oversee complex infrastructure projects, ensuring timely delivery and effective collaboration across teams and vendors. This is a long-term contract position that requires strong leadership, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic insurance industry environment.

Responsibilities:
Lead infrastructure upgrade projects, including server migrations and operating system updates, ensuring all milestones are achieved within the specified timelines.
Coordinate transitions for user management systems and endpoint solutions, facilitating smooth implementation and integration.
Develop and manage detailed project plans, tracking progress and addressing challenges to maintain project momentum.
Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to ensure alignment and successful execution of project goals.
Apply Agile Scrum methodologies to enhance project efficiency and team productivity.
Oversee vendor relationships, negotiating contracts and managing performance to meet organizational standards.
Implement organizational change management strategies to support project transitions and minimize disruptions.
Utilize tools like Atlassian Jira to monitor workflows, report progress, and ensure accountability.
Deliver superior customer service by maintaining effective communication and addressing stakeholder concerns.
Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices throughout all phases of project execution.

Requirements

Minimum of 7 years of experience in IT project management, with a focus on infrastructure projects.
Proven expertise in Agile Scrum methodologies and PMP certification.
Proficiency in tools such as Atlassian Jira for project tracking and management.
Strong background in managing database upgrades and server migrations.
Demonstrated ability to manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts.
Skilled in organizational planning and change management strategies.
Exceptional communication and customer service skills.
Experience in the insurance industry is highly desirable.
