Description
We are looking for a skilled Network Engineer to join our team in Neenah, Wisconsin. In this Contract to permanent position, you will play a key role in managing and optimizing network infrastructure for a steel manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will bring extensive expertise in network operations, troubleshooting, and system monitoring to ensure seamless connectivity and performance.
Responsibilities:
Design, configure, and implement network solutions including switches, routers, and firewalls.
Perform comprehensive troubleshooting to resolve network issues and maintain operational efficiency.
Manage and monitor network systems using advanced tools to ensure peak performance.
Collaborate with team members to continuously improve network infrastructure.
Configure and maintain VLANs to optimize traffic flow and enhance security.
Administer VMware technologies to support virtualized infrastructure.
Analyze network traffic and performance to identify areas for improvement.
Ensure customer satisfaction by providing prompt and effective technical support.
Implement and manage network security protocols to safeguard sensitive data.
Document configurations, processes, and troubleshooting procedures for reference and training.
Requirements
Minimum of 5 years of direct experience in network engineering.
Proficiency in working with Cisco routers and switches, including VLAN configurations.
Expertise in Palo Alto and Cisco ASA firewalls.
Strong knowledge of Border Gateway Protocol (BGP) and network traffic analysis.
Hands-on experience with VMware infrastructure and technologies.
Ability to use advanced monitoring tools for system diagnostics and performance tracking.
Familiarity with Juniper routers and basic troubleshooting techniques.
